-What is Beyond, Beyond the furthest star,
Is there life Beyond, Beyond so far,
What sort of life would it be,
Would it be like you and me?
-
Could that life be far behind ours,
Or could they have the greater powers,
Who would be first to make contact,
And how would the others react?
-
Will the two Worlds be at war,
Who's animal instinct will come to the fore,
Or, will all war like instinct cease,
And the two Worlds live in total peace?.
If only war like instincts ceased. If only. Lovely, imac.

Mac: Very talented with the poetry.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture -- beautiful poem. I can't think of a more appropriate post for Earth Day.
ReplyDeleteThe first reaction would be panic. Second reaction announce it was a terrorist plot - probably concocted by Al-Qaeda.
ReplyDeleteNice poem Mac, though I thought the one on time was more deep and thought provoking.
You raised the perennial question - will they be different from us? If they have survived long enough to be able to make contact with us I think they will.
ReplyDeleteWonderful post, loved the poetry and the photo used. Happy Earth Day!
ReplyDeleteAnother great little poem and unusual photo. Did you pop over to the States and asked NASA if you could join the Shuttle crew?
ReplyDeleteThought provoking poem! I think we better work out our differences here on Earth before tackling other worlds.
ReplyDeletevery creative !
ReplyDeleteI would hope for peace!
ReplyDeleteHappy Earth's Day! You are becoming quite the poet blog-aureate.
