Has any Blogger Friend seen an UP-SIDE DOWN Rainbow????(click to see).
A CIRCUMZENITHAL...
The story - I was walking through the Hospital Grounds this afternoon, when I looked up at the sky, There was this beautiful curved feathered cloud, and at the end was this Upside Down Rainbow, my mobile was in my locker so ran into the lodge and rung DW and this is what she caught -----( I need to buy a mobile with a good mp camera to it)......
A RARE VISION INDEED. (This photo has NOT been turned upside down)
The Team - Klaus - Sandy - Wren - Ivar - Fishing Guy - Louise.
Great pictures. I've never seen an upside down rainbow before.

Hi Imac, there was an article in the paper, Telegraph, last autumn about reverse rainbows, showing one and the write up.
ReplyDeleteFantastic I say.
I love your pictures and the last one reminds me of a row of dolphins in the sea.
Thanks for sharing.
Great series.

ReplyDeleteWhoa, you always play with one's perception of the world; love coming here to see what you've got to show us. Very fun and wonderful shots.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely smashing series. Love the ice formations but the very last shot is truly amazing. There is so much going on in that shot. The mirror reflection is great. I too once shot a sunset through my car mirror.
ReplyDeleteThose are all great shots. The reflection is so beautiful and the last one with the rainbow almost looks like light through a prism.
ReplyDeleteImac, this is very clever! All your photos are spectacular but the last one is the most beautiful for me. And the upside down rainbow is a real never seen, or at least a rare phenomenon. At first I thought it was a trick and the photo was turned upside down, but when I read the article I understood a little bit how it happened.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures as always, imac!

ReplyDeleteWe hit -11F this morning but it has warmed up to a balmy -4F now.
Great shots! Last one first - I love the rainbow in the clouds. I know there's a name for it but I don't remember it. :-)
ReplyDeleteThen there is the seeming contradiction of the reflection of the blue sky is something surrounded by ice.
Great captures! :-)
Those ice shots were just fantastic! I can't wait that end of month comes. There's this ice sculpture contest that I'm hoping to be able to see and maybe catch few photos:)
