Mac: What great photos of the different rainbows. I only saw one this year with all the sky watching I do. Interesting questions and answers.
I wonder if you get a double pot of gold with a double rainbow. Lovely photos and interesting to find out about the true shape of a rainbow, I'm saving that for my five year old.
Great rainbow photos, and I did not know the answer without clicking the link.

Great lesson with even greater pictures!
Beautiful, beautiful rainbow captures, Imac! Thanks for sharing.
Imac,
You're also a Rainbows collector. You own great treasures.
I don't even need to find an explanation about their creation, I prefer just admiring as long as good photographers manage to catch them, and share with us, Skywatchers, for free.
Thanks for the present
Maybe you didn't find gold, but there's 'gold' in these photos - beautiful!
Double rainbows in the first and last - very cool Imac.
Yeah,I knew they were circles. :)
Great shots, and answer...well, I prefer the one we had as children-Walk under the rainbow, and your wish will come true ;)
Love the rainbows. They are good enough to have been a post by themself. Great series.
Cool post. Love the series of rainbow shots.
Great shot and text.
Thank very much for info.
The true rainbow gold is Happiness. Isn´t it?!!
What a lovely selection!
I like rainbows. When I was a child, I was told not to point or it will cut off my fingers. :) I still don't.
Even your mountain's name sounds sweet.
I got to know my downtown for my skywatch this week.
What a beautiful series of rainbows! Isn't it funny how a rainbow puts a smile on everyones face?
Happy skywatch :)
Imac lovely pictures of all of these rainbows. Well captured and thank you for sharing.
We try Culverthorpe Lake for some photography, being as we are in Sleaford its not far away. Have you ever been?
Have a good week.
Spectacular arc of should I say circle. The rainbow lesson was genuinely fascinating.
did we see the same rainbow? it looks exactly like the one i saw only two days ago!
Those are all wonderful rainbow shots. I didn't even know enough to guess so I was glad you linked the answer.
I love this photo series. Rainbows always make the perfect subject, but you have to move fast before they disappear. Great job!
Wrong answer, but I like the rainbow-show.
We can never have too many rainbows - these are wonderful! Really, who needs gold...
Wow,this was wonderful,rainbows in every picture.Beautiful photos.Have a nice day!
Wonderful shots. The brightness of the 3rd one is my favorite.
Lovely selection, iMac.
Some months ago I posted about the ``real'' shape of a rainbow - because I saw one while taking off from Kathmandu, Nepal!
People like you are those who make the world stop believing in Santa - how dare you! :-) Lovely post - amazing shots. One day I'll capture a rainbow on camera too. Till then - I'll enjoy SWF with people like yoU!
Yet again brilliant photos. I have never yet managed to take a good rainbow photo. I guess I'll just have to keep trying!

Very lovely photos for SWF. Love the series of photos of the rainbow. Have a nice weekend.
Don't know what makes a rainbow arc, Imac. But I sure do like it and your photos are magnificent.
I totaly refuse to look, it will challenge my belief in hairy tails, I mean Fairy Tales. :D)
I love rainbows - your shots are amazing.
A
IMAC your rainbows are beautiful, but you have definately burst my bubble. :-( No gold.....
no real pots of gold but surely the golden glow when one sees a lovely rainbow is much more precious.
I like the shot you made today... that's realy hilarious...
I believe soo...
happy weekend...
this rainbow post is awesome ... thanks for sharing with us.
I haven't seen a rainbow for ages! So I enjoyed your rainbow pictures a lot!
They are fanTAStic shots!!! Without checking the link yet, I would answer that a rainbow is not a bow at all, but a complete circle. I'm off to see if I am right in a minute.
The third and fourth shots are just magnificent. Excellent captures and very very worthy of a POTD mention in my book!
I love the educational challenge. It's amazing that rainbows are actually circles.
Terrific collection of rainbows you posted! I love rainbows... seem to be a lot of them being posted this time. That makes me smile!

The best, imac! Your's are magnificent!
Why are there so many songs about rainbows? What's on the other side? Someone said something, and someone believed it, look what its done so far....
of course the pot of gold is a myth, whoever started it was an effective liar.
Beautiful rainbow fotos, thank God (who was the first to show the rainbow) for wonderful creation that you beautifully captured! TC!
Great rainbow photos, imac!
Very well captured.
Have a nice weekend.
Marvelous collection of rainbows. I believe a true rainbow is a circle.
