I've been to Alnwick, those water features are well worth the visit although I can't say I was over-impressed with the rest of the gardens.Have you been to Bamburgh Castle? In some ways, I preferred it to Alnwick.From the top, there is a wonderful view of the beach and as you will no doubt know,the Northumberland coast is beautiful.
