As our coach pulled into a popular layby with beautiful views and a lad with his donkey and a dog in a basket - plus an old mans taleThe tale goes like this--
Some years ago where the lad stands now - there stood an old man with his donkey and a dog in a basket, which if you spoke to him in the right way and enough money you could purchase a sample of Poteen (Illicit Alcohol).
For a few cents the lad and his donkey with his dog in a basket will pose for photos in the same spot as the old man did.
I then turned my attention to the scenery with its bridge, river and windswept tree and the fence and gate.
I thought you would have to pay him to pose in Euros these days. Amusing story and great scenery.
