While strolloing around Belton House Lake last Sunday, we spotted a female toad with her mate on her back - swimming to the bank to lay her eggs.
As she came closer, she spotted me and dived down and layed on the bottom of the lake, being me I photographed this sequence as Ive posted using my Macro Lens also 100 to 300 lens.
We walked away a few paces and came back, but she toad and her mate had swam into the reeds.
At a later time I will post the sequence of our frog sporn in our pond, they are now at Tadpole stage.
It was a very successful day for photographs on Sunday around Belton, the Duck (and more to come ) was from Belton.

At first glance, I thought it was an airborne frog. Amazing clarity, Imac!

Great toad shots... itwas not until I saw Peters toads I realised what beautiful eyes they have.. I must try to get a good clear shot of a toads eye.

There is always one hangers on. Your toad photography is great but then you have one of those magic cameras I bet.
Find out why their mommas swooned looking at the pictures, and stuffed crisp $10,000.00 bills into my shorts and hung the keys to a Smart car on my ear. Abraham Lincoln in Brookville, Ohio.
Brilliant photos!
Am really impressed with these photo's.
