Well after that fab Sunday lunch of roast beef ect and a pint of dark ale at the Dirty Duck,
we start our walk along the Grantham Canal, over the bridge, but this time we turn and head
Nottingham way, but 1st take a look under this bridge and its reflections. This set of Locks are the ones I posted prev where they were in repair.
We continue the walk in tonights post. Dont forget to click and enlarge, this way you wont miss a person having a pint upside downhaha.
Lovely set of posts (and photos) - can smell that beef and yorkshire...
ReplyDeleteIs Woolsthorpe Manor (Isaac Newton's place) up from there?

You know, you're the second blog today I've read mention of roast beef and yorkshire pudding! YUM! My hubby makes WONDERFUL yorkshire pudding -- we really do enjoy making real British fare (we are both cooks, as we run a gourmet shop, and we have several favorite British cookbooks at home). I've even made "toad in the hole" which we all liked very much.

ReplyDeleteI haven't had time to follow your excursion before now, but it was really a great joy. Except for the pub (of course!) - I fell for your picture of the bridge - a great angle.
