Rogers Door at St Ives Cornwall
You would not belive the trouble I had to shoot this photo. In a narrow street, Iron bars all around and locked, cars and people going passed -- until the owner turned up and unlocked the bars and held the traffic up while I shot off a few pics.
Nice guy, to go through all that and help you out. Really cool shot of a really cool door. So I would have to say I am glad you did it, and it seems to have been worth it!
Hello Imac Old Wom Tigley is showing me how to posts comments today. I like this door picture very much, I would like to think I would have seen the beaty in that as well. I thank you for your visits and encouragement. Tom shows me your blog and others on my many visits to him and Jane. I sit there with a milky coffee in hand and while away sometime looking at what others take pictures of. Thank you for commenting
A nice old door. It works where it is but would be difficult here in the states on almost anything. It would be like trying to put a Model T Ford on a 2008 Cadillac chassis.
Still, it is a thing of beauty. Like an old woman with a stubble of beard. You want to offer to give her a shave but then you need to protect your head and crotch. Some of these old folks have a mean streak.
What a great story behind a great picture... I love Abes comment to this as well... that as me roaring with laughter... .......still I've been laughing most of this afternoon watching Big Pete find his way around a key board with fingers the size of cumberland sausage. The air was blue in Womtigs kitchen at time today.. oh! but what fun.
It's just like life that a simple door could pose a picture problem.
There is one door I LOVE to see when I take a particular route to get home from work. I want to take the picture, but I'm waiting until I feel confident that I'll get a fair shot.
