SUNDAY SPECTACULAR

Its funny,- A grey, dreary, cloudy, drizzly, Sunday. A day for photos - NAR - but wait------We decided to go for a stroll along Granthams Canal, I thought -ah camera- nar-oh go on then.
Well it turned out to be a fantasic day for photos - well I thought so, see what you think. We came accross these 2 swans, well I took about 10 shots - the 1st is I thought the best, as it shows our Canal.

Well we came across this sign, have passed this many times but today I snapped it. Then this prickly flower, when we were kids, we picked and threw them at friends, they stick to your clothes.

Now we passed a few orange/brown leaves and again snap snap - heres one I liked.
But oh, what a finish to the day a Robin, now this took about 30 mins to get him, little b, would not stay put, until he decieded to pose for me. Just had to post todays reward, for you great bloggers, to show I am trying anyway.lol.

  7. Lovely photos. I especially like the swans in the canal and the robin. I drove to my brother's house yesterday and forgot to take my camera. We passed through Olney, which was holding a 'Dickens of a Christmas' day! I could have kicked myself for missing such a good opportunity. There were people dressed in Dickensian era costumes, a market in the square, and a two-horse carriage driven by men in dark suits and bowlers!

  8. I envy you, a lovely place for a walk... along a canal.

Those prickily things you used to throw.... We call them 'Burdoch.' Not sure of the spelling, you have to sort of sound it out. :-) Even without little boys throwing them, they catch on your clothes, when walking in their area.

And your little robin, was worth the wait, for that picture.

  10. Great pics, you never know what you'll see on a stoll, just remember to have your camera in your pocket. The minute you leave it at home, there's a great pic and you miss it!!
BTW my uncle lived in Grantham Lincs for many years, I think he ran the village shop. Name of Chandler.

  18. Hi Imac....I'm a bit behind and getting caught up. I LOVE the swans....we don't have many here!
And the Robin is Gorgeous! Not at all like our Robins here. I was out on Saturday and it was a big "gray" and misty....but sometimes I get the best shots on those days. I am beginning to like gray and brown :)
