I'm wondering how you know it's an elderly female.
I love dragon flies. They are such majestic, beautiful insects. Definitely one of my favorite insects, and this is a fine, fine photo of one. I hope she is comfortable.Thanks,Wayne

Nice shot. I just watched a older movie called, "Dragonfly" with Kevin Coster in it. Today, take a ride on Santa's Railroad car sleigh.
