belton House Woods Walk 3

We are on our way to the lake In Belton House Grounds. we pick up the River Witham (that runs thru Grantham too) This is a fast flowing part of the river.
We round the bend and come across an old ruin of a church type building, think it might be the old chaple of Belton House before the original church was built.
Ah we nera our destination, the Lake. We have found the overspill, all we do now is tread carefully as we pick our way to the lake.-----------To be continued.

  5. Such pretty scenery! In the picture the river looks very narrow. I wonder how wide it is. The church must have been beautiful in it's day.
