The Swans are off on another adventure, they are swanning off down the Regent Canal in London. The building you can see behind the trees is called Canaary Wharf, business centre offices.
Those are the 1st set of locks we will see on our trip.
As we swim with the swans, we come across a lot of new buildings going up, most of them are top class flats. Those cranes are huge as they swing across the regent Canal.
Here we see some older but still upper class flats. Also we see the gas works as we glide pass.
Just look at these reflections of the gas works storage tanks. We stoped here for a few moments to snap a few shots of them.
We will continue our journey along the Regent Canal in the next post.
That reflection photo is particularly lovely! And those swans are really something! I saw four swans yesterday and immediately thought of all of your posts!
ReplyDeleteI love that reflection very nice job of taking the photo
ReplyDeleteand of course the swans will always have the upper hand when it comes to photos.
The first one is elegant... Beautiful reflections on the last one. :)
ReplyDeleteKeep on following those swans. This adventure is fun!!
ReplyDeleteLove the first parade!
ReplyDeleteCould see myself there............somewhere!
These are some beautiful pictures. Seeing the swans made me think of the saying, "Getting your ducks in a row." I love your pictures.
ReplyDeleteThe swans make a nice picture, they are playing follow the leader.
ReplyDeleteLove those reflections of the tanks.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these pictures! The swans are beautiful and the reflections are amazing! Good Job!
ReplyDeleteI especially like the reflection of the gas works in the water. That is marvelous. You have a wonderful eye.
ReplyDeleteLove the gas works reflecting in the water..
ReplyDeleteCheers for you kind comments.. I'm back up and about but not quite firing on all cylinders just yet.
The swans are beautiful! Having a body of water in any landscape simply makes it so much more beautiful. I think. :)
ReplyDeleteI love these shots. A couple of years ago I walked from Brentford along the Grand Union to Little Venice. A wonderful walk.

Like the reflection photo.
ReplyDeleteDid you go and see (and of course) photograph the new Euro Terminus at St Pancars - I just love the old Victorian station, and the new extension blends in well
What a neat series. The reflection shot is great. And those locks... it looks as though there are handles on them... surely they are not operated by hand?
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Wayne
I do love taking these journeys with you, it's really very cool! You do all the work, pay all the bills, and I sit back in comfort and enjoy every second..LOL! The one with the gasworks reflections is particularly STUNNING!
ReplyDeleteI like the reflections one best as well. Really nice series.
ReplyDeleteNeat shots....and i really like the reflection!
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering where the swans went next . . but the storage tanks are confusing me (I know nothing about gas storage): they are not there. It's just ironworks where tanks would be. So I'm confused. The reflections, the story . . it all impels us forward to the next post. Which is where I'm going!
ReplyDeleteLove the swans.
ReplyDeletenice reflection! it's really fun seeing your photo tour. it's like i'm actually there!
ReplyDeleteThose gasometer reflections are superb! That photo would get my vote every time.
