End of Day

When the hot summers day is done,
And the clouds begin to hide the sun,
The happy couple walk hand in hand,
With their bare toes digging in the sand.

Header Challenge 21-09-11 Flags by Dave.

FLAGS was Dave choice this week for our Header Challenge.
My flags are a flying in my Header.

Flags can mean sadness when flying half mast  - but they can mean joyful times too - just like my evening.
Yes, its me (large as life) wrapped up in our flag - the Union Jack, with a small one stuck on top of my brolly.
In 2008 we went to  Belton House to see the spitfire Prom -
Beautiful Music and a grand picnicRoast Chicken with fresh salad with wine then fresh fruit and ice cream
Some folk even had the candle sticks all polished.

The main event was when Charlie Brown appeared and flew his Spitfire around for 15 minutes.
My post shot you can see Charlies Spitfire flying past.
My Music and film was from this very night - You see Charlie and his Spitfire flying around for a while, with the music playing. - so watch - listen - as you take yourself there.

If you have never been to a Proms night - You certainly are missing out on a very enjoyable evening..

What better way to end A Night out at the Proms  but to see a firework display.

Sadly the eve comes to an end, eveyone takes their FLAGS home with them.

Ive Posted a day early this week as Im away very soon after.

Pop and see what the other Headbangers have  done with their FLAGS.
You will find these folk on my side bar - just above my shield.

Header Challenge = 14-09-11 = Delicious by Lanny

Welcome to Delicious by Lanny.
Thats our Header Challenge this week.
My song this week is by Robbie Williams
singing - Its lovely- its Delicious , so sit back and
enjoy my posts with Robbie in the background.
Now, yes, My Header, well -
Say hi to MIL Jessie.

A few weeks ago Jessie had a couple of friends visiting her
as we had fetched Jessie out for the day to be with us.
After saying their hellos, we all went out for Sunday lunch,
well, when it came to deserts - Jessie picked a dessert from the menu - we all said its far too much for you, but jessie said she could manage it - so we didnt argue and  ordered but with 5 spoons, as we knew what was going to happen ---
When delivered Jessies face was a picture - as you all can see.
Thanks Lanny, this just fits Delicious.
There was enough for the 5 of us.

We all like our food - so do these creatures
A monkey from Gibraltar loves his delicious fruit.
We all know that a Squirrel loves his Delicious Nuts.

Birds root around to find a Delicious Bug.

Little Bears will go mad for a Delicious Ice Cream.

Dragonflies will rest a while to get their Delicious Berries
and stay long enough for a photograph.

Now - me - I love a pint and a Delicious Pork-Pie.

Hope you all have enjoyed my take on Delicious-including Jessie with her large super duper ice cream dessert Header.

Go see the Headbangers on their take of Delicious.
Just above my shield on the side bar.

Good luck to all.

Header Challenge 07-08-11 = Big Bird - by Tom

Big Bird
Is Toms choice this week for our Header.

Listen to my music while you feast your eyes on my Header and Posts of Big Bird.
My choice for this theme is a wonderful - colourful - show-off bird
The Peacock.

Information from
National Geographic Page
to see and learn lots more

As you have noticed my Header is one beautiful Big Bird.

This is where these wonderful creatures live - Belvoir Castle around 8 miles from us.

Here are the gardens where they strut their stuff.

Peacock is commonly used to refer to birds of both sexes, but only males are
Peacocks, females are Peahens and together they are called Peahens.

Peacocks do not mix well with other domestic birds.

Peacocks are known for their large tails

Their large tails are used to attract females for mating rituals.

Males gather harems of females which lay 3-5 eggs at a time.

Altogether their size relates to a 6ft man.

Watch-out    --    another male is very near!!

Group of Peacocks are called  - A Party.

Are they not - just  the show off Big Bird

Well - there you have my Big Bird show - pop and see the other Headbangers what they they come up
for Big Bird.
You know where you will find these good folk now - side bar just above my shield.

Good Luck.
